Imagine...

An american dream's defeat in the name of the american dream. George Bush will stay in power more four years. Yesterday the US celebrated the victory of a military political formula, blessed by god, and undefeatable, despite Michael Moore, Hans Blix, Abu Mussab Al-Zarqawi and, off course, Osama Bin Laden.

Insecurity prevailed over political convictions in yesterday's US election. Even facing a falling public budget, an almost indwelled public social security, and the reports of more a thousand deaths in Iraq (100.000 civils), americans renewed their trust in a president that is a doubtous soldier, and in a soldier that is an unaccurated politic. John Kerry, the true soldier, the Vietnam veteran, had no strategy to deal with Iraq's war.

Bush's result in yesterday's election announces the victory of the preventive attack logic (Iran will be the next chapter), of the economic proteccionism, of the pressures over media, and of the lack of respect towards international conventions inside ONU (Kyoto treaty included). Bush's victory leaves impune the Abu Ghraib human rights abuses, and the errors of american security services related with iraqui weapons of mass destruction. That's why there's no reason to celebrate Bush's victory. Remains postponed the american dream of a administration defending values as social than economic, as diplomatic as warrior.

The Massachussets senator leaves the stageafter winning all the electoral debates, after reviving the mith of John Fitzgerald Kennedy among american democrats. The man who climbbed the Word Trade Center ruins with a megafone on his hand seems to be more efficient, in an era menaced by terrorism, than that who quoted in his speeches, long forgotten words like diplomacy, negotiations or humanitarian help. Remains unknown the way how Bush is going to deal with polemic issues like Iraq's war - now that is almost imminent an attack to Fallujah; Mideast conflict - probably without Arafat; the tension with Iran and North Korea; and even the actual situation in Darfour province, in Sudan. Some point out Reagan's administration to predict a more reconciliatory second mandate. But, Between church pressure, from one side, and the neo-conservatives, by other side, Bush will not have enough autonomy to inverse his politics in the next four years.

Remains also unknown the true meaning of Bin Laden's message difused days ago by Al-Jazeera Channel. According some interpretations, Osama Bin Laden sent a clear menace to all the states of USA that voted Bush. The theory is explained in detail in the internet site MEMRI, according this site a bad traduction from the arab language, neglected the menace addressed to, not all the countries as have being said before, but to all the states in favour of George W. Bush's politic.

Four years after Bush arrival to power, the "déjà vu" sensation grows stronger. Bush wins, and again by a minimum advantage (again tv's renewed their predictions several times during the day ), and, at the same time, the one and only"free-world's" enemy reappears. During Bush's first weeks as president, Bin Laden had already addressed several menaces towards american citizens. Yesterday's victory of Bush "values", and not political arguments, means that probably all is going to start again. All we need is to replace an "q" by a "n", replacing Iraq by Iran. Does the W means War?
